I was honored to be asked to take my brother's best friends maternity pics. They were in a hurry though, because baby A could make his appearance any day. Unfortunately for them, 2 weeks later, still no baby. :-( But even so, we got some fabulous pics!
Thanks K & N for such a great time! I can't wait to meet Mr. A and hopefully take his pics too!

Here it is, the photo you've been waiting for! The first picture of my princess on the photography blog!
She's not smiling in any of the pics- I think she was still sleepy because I started the whole shoot right after she woke up from a nap. :-) Oh well, she's still cute!
I can't wait to take MANY, MANY more. She's so photogenic and such a cheeser! It's going to be so much fun to dress her up & turn her into a supermodel (until she gets the fake cheese smile anyway!).
Ok, you may or may not know that I have a daughter. She's only 3 months older than Michael, yet I have no pictures of her on my blog. Why? Because Lordy is it hard to take a picture & wrangle your own child! But now that she's older, I plan on taking her picture plenty. :-) In the meantime, I get to take pictures of my nephew!
Here's my handsome guy at 3 months. While I was editing, I noticed he has the MOST gorgeous sapphire blue eyes. He's also starting to really develop his personality & smiles a lot. He's definitely the apple of his mommy's & daddy's eyes - you can totally see it in the pictures. I heart those people so much!

Talk about a fantastic after-Christmas present!! My nephew, Michael Paul III, was born on December 27, 2010 at 5:27pm. He's a spitting image of his beautiful momma and Daddy's pride & joy.
I'm so thankful that they chose me to take his newborn pictures and I hope they'll let me take many more! :-)
Now, let's all revel is his cuteness!
My best friend & her family came to town for Christmas, and I can't tell you how good it was to see Sarah after a year & a half and meet Miss Leah! I was very excited when Christina (my BFF) asked me to take Leah's picture in an heirloom dress, and of course we had to do some sister princess pictures!
We had such a good time and I look forward to many more! Love you guys!!!
I am so excited to be an aunt, and even more excited that my sister-in-law asked me to take her maternity photos. I'm so lucky that they're both beautiful and we got some awesome shots!

So I was going through my photos and found this one I took in school awhile back. I figure that it's not that bad, so I might as well put it up. Thanks Domingo for being my model, though I'm sure you never thought you'd wind up on the internet!
This is my co-worker & friend's family. She had been asking me for months to take pictures of her & her girls, but it was quite a chore to get them all together at the same time! But they came to visit for Thanksgiving and we got it done.
There's also a beautiful granddaughter in the mix and I got to take their first family picture.
I had such a good time, and I hope they let me photograph them again soon!

This is my co-worker/friend's brother's family. They stopped by for a couple quick shots while I was shooting my friend & her daughters. One of the kids just didn't want his picture taken, but I kept shooting and got a couple (probably accidentally, for sure!) of him looking in my direction. ;-)
I'm sorry we didn't get as much time together as we would have liked, but thanks for the opportunity!
Pioche is a little Nevada town, about 180 miles north/northeast of Las Vegas. The population is small- *maybe* 500 people, and the food at the Silver Cafe is great (Hi, Mom!).
It has quite a history- a booming silver mining town back in the mid-1800's and their big claim to fame is that some 72 people died of violent deaths in the town before 1 died of natural causes.
Take in the sights- Boot Hill cemetary, the Million Dollar Courthouse, the Lincoln County Musuem, and drive around to see the old mines. And then, when you've done that, stop by the Silver Cafe for some pie, their homemade breads, or some local CJ Pomegranate jelly. (The latter is a shameless plug for my family.)
The following are pics I took for my final project in one of my classes. I had a great time driving around town with my mom, checking out the places I never explored as a kid (and I can't believe we never did!).
***Edited to add that the teacher liked my photos so much that they will be displayed at the school next semester. YAY!
I had HUGE plans for the kind of photos I wanted of me & my husband for our Christmas card this year. And why not do it in one of the most beautiful places in the world?

Oh my gosh. I am soooo behind. I can't believe I haven't posted in over 3 months...but I can because I've been sooo busy with other things. Now I'm playing major catch up!
Here's some pics from our September vacation in Maui. Sunsets & sunrises are some of the most beautiful things, no matter where you are. I just happened to stay up for these ones. :-)
